After studying Sports Science at Stellenbosch University, Franz moved to the UK, where his sailing background helped him excel as a top rigger for Show Force and Edwin Sherley Staging. After four years abroad, he returned to South Africa as Key Rigger on Fear Factor.

Driven by commitment and professionalism, Franz co-founded Pyranha Stunts with Grant. He thrives on action design—fuelled by creative ideation, detailed planning, and the seamless integration of stunts with camera movement to craft visually powerful sequences.
